Music is life. It can get you through anything and everything. I truly feel there’s a song for everything.

I absolutely love this version of “Candle in the Wind”. I like Elton John’s as well, but this one here I fell in love with. Norma Jean (a.k.a. Marilyn Monroe) was such a beautiful, and lost 💔, soul and woman. She was searching for love and happiness, just didn’t know who she could turn to and trust with her heart. Born June 1st, 1926, and died August 5th, 1962. She suffered from depression and some say her death was a suicide. My heart breaks when he says the reporters just mentioned she was found in the nude. 😢 It is so sad that making news and money is more important than a life.
Anyone else love this version of the song? Love Marilyn Monroe..(Norma Jean)? She is still to this day, a “sex symbol”, and ages 12-100 Know who she is. Mental health is not something that should be taken lightly. It’s a struggle everyday to live with things like depression, anxiety, even drug abuse and addiction. It’s sad. R.I.P. Norma Jean. Your memory lives on. ❤️
First recorded in 1979 by Bette Midler, and in 1983 by Conway Twitty, “The Rose” is probably one of (or is) my favorite lyrics of a song. The words and the meaning are so beautiful…and to add the music to it!! It gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up every time! You ever listen to a song and while you start singing along you get this feeling in the back of your throat and you have to stop because you can feel it in your heart? This song does that to me. If you haven’t already, you need to listen to it! Both artists versions are amazing. Let me know what you think! https://youtu.be/fhw7MjSMkAQ

Some say love, it is a river, that drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor, that leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower, and you, its only seedIt’s the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance
It’s the one who won’t be taken, who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to liveWhen the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed, that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the roseSource: LyricFindSongwriters: Amanda McbroomThe Rose lyrics © Warner Chappell Music, Inc
I’m going to just start with talking about someone that I just love. I think this young man was so great and had such a beautiful heart and soul. Lil Peep, born Gustav Elijah Åhr, was born in 1996 and sadly past away in 2017. I’m not going to go into all the many things and thoughts I have for this artist, since I am doing this all to discuss the songs and the lyrics. There are many choices I had to go through, but I am going to choose one song that I think is absolutely beautiful. (I’m pretty positive that I’ll be writing about a lot more of his songs down the road!) Let’s begin with, “Haunt You”
My time is here,
and I’m making it clear;
Oh, I love you my dear,
but I’m going,
I’m gone.
I might come back,
when the Benz all black.
Ten racks on my lap.
If I don’t relapse,
and I stay strong,
I could do anything I want to.
Bump Lil Peep,
When I die,
I’mma haunt you.
I could live forever if I want to,
I could stop time,
but I never wanna do that again.
Nothing worse than losing a friend,
and the feeling you get when everybody that you love ain’t around
I really gotta get away from this town
I’m just waiting for a wave and I’ll drown.
Satan letting me down.
I just wanna help you see,
you should run away from me
Baby I’m a drug,
and I don’t wanna hurt you,
no I’m not gonna hurt you girl,
not at all.
I ain’t gonna set you free,
all you’re gonna get from me:
little bit a love and a little virtue.
If I hurt you, I’ll end it all.Source: Musixmatch
I love it!! If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out!! Adding the music to the lyrics is something you should hear. It gives me goosebumps when I listen to it!
Anyways, this here, to me… is hearing his pain. But he’s selfless and he doesn’t want to hurt no one because if he does, he wouldn’t be able to live with that guilt.
What do you all get from this? Anyone else out there a Peep fan? I could seriously write a blog about just him! Lol. Anyone want more songs or more discussion about Lil Peep.. let me know and it will happen!!

I’m not sure about anyone else, but music is my life. I do not play or make any kind of music and my voice is the most awful sound in the world (really, the worst!), but I love music and can’t imagine a world without it. From my lonely childhood days that I spent in pain, to the heartbreaking pain of lost loved ones and failed relationships, even those times I was so pissed off and wanted to bash some heads into a wall, music has been my best friend through every step of the way.
Have you ever heard a song and it took you back to another time in your life? Reminded you of someone? I have. I believe that music can say so much that I cannot express. If I could explain myself with songs and their lyrics, I think people would get who I am and what I’m feeling so much better than me trying to find the right words.
I am starting this now because…well, obviously I love music! lol. But, I want to be able to talk about the lyrics, how they make us feel, how the artist might feel. What do the lyrics mean. Ideas of songs to help through certain situations in life.
I am so excited to get started!! If you’re interested and love music even close to how much I do, this is for you!! I am new at this, but I think something really great can come from it so please be patient and any suggestions, feel free to contact me. I am open and one of the most down to earth, non judgmental out there! Thanks again!!
